Free menu templates and sample menus to print

These are ten free menu templates for restaurants, bars and cafés, each one a sample menu with realistic dishes and prices: a dinner menu template in bistro style, a bar menu template for cocktails and beer, a diner menu, a pizzeria menu, a coffee shop menu, a brunch menu, a kids menu, a food truck menu, a wine list and a blank menu to fill in by hand. Each template opens at full size and prints, or saves as a PDF, from your browser's print dialog, with no sign-up and no email.

The dishes and prices are examples, and the sheets cannot be edited on this page: a template gives you the layout, and you set your own dishes in a word processor or design tool. You can also use a sheet as a menu mockup to show a designer or a print shop what you have in mind. To write on one by hand, print the blank menu, which has only the section titles and empty lines. If your menu changes often, the Menumigo digital menu is free and you update it from your phone without reprinting.

The ten sample menus

What if you stopped reprinting?

A printed menu solves today's problem, not next month's. As soon as a supplier raises a price, a dish comes off the menu or the season changes, you have to open the file again, check it and print it again.

The same menu in digital form is edited from your phone between services, behind a QR code you print once. The Menumigo free plan covers one venue with unlimited dishes and two menu languages, and needs no card. You can keep both: these templates for the window or the host stand, and the digital menu on the table.

Questions about the menu templates

Are these menu templates really free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no email. Open a template, then print it or save it as a PDF from your browser.

How do I save a menu template as a PDF?

Open the template at full size, press Print or save as PDF, and choose Save as PDF as the destination in the print dialog. The file contains the sheet you see on screen, without the rest of the page. If a dark sheet such as the bar menu comes out white, turn on background graphics in the print settings and try again.

Can I edit the dishes and prices?

Not on this page: the dishes and prices are examples, and each sample menu is there as a layout to copy. Rebuild its sections in a word processor or design tool with your own dishes and prices. For a menu that changes often, a digital menu is easier, because you change a price from your phone without reprinting.

Do the templates print on US Letter paper?

Yes, with one setting to check. The sheets follow A4 proportions, the paper size used outside North America, and US Letter is a little wider and shorter. Look at the print preview: if the sheet runs onto a second page, set the scale to fit the page, or lower it, in the print settings. The templates marked A5 hold fewer items, for a table card or a kids menu.

Which template should I use for a bar menu or a dinner menu?

For a bar, the bar menu template lists cocktails, draft beer and bar snacks on a dark sheet. For a sit-down evening service, the dinner menu template has starters, mains, sides and desserts in a serif layout. For bottles and wines by the glass, use the wine list.

Should I use a printed menu or a digital menu?

Both have a place. Paper works in the window, at the counter and for guests who would rather not use a phone. A digital menu behind a QR code is easier to keep current, because you change a price or a dish from your phone without reprinting. The Menumigo digital menu is free for one venue, with unlimited dishes and two menu languages. It shows the menu only and takes no orders or payments, so guests order the way they do today.
